How does the “time out” work on the Garmin XERO X1i scope?

To save battery power, the default display is set to timeout after 20 seconds.  This can be changed by going to Settings > Display > Timeout. When the screen is close to the time out while in the Hunt mode, a “!” symbol with a countdown will appear next to the aim point. Tap any button to reset the timer. If the device times out, tapping any button will wake the scope to where it was when the timeout occurred. The scope will turn OFF completely after 12 hours of inactivity.
