How to Sight In Your Crossbow

That’s why EVERY crossbow you purchase from us comes bore sighted at 20 yards directly from the factory. But that doesn’t mean your work is done.
Sighting in a crossbow is similar to the way you would sight in any other piece of shooting equipment. Starting at close range you will test the accuracy of your pins, scope, or other sighting mechanism. From there, you move back until you reach the furthest distance you feel comfortable shooting, checking your accuracy along the way and making any adjustments. The final step is to move back to your original yardage, typically 20 yards with archery equipment, and double check all of the work you’ve done thus far.

By performing these tasks, you’re allowing yourself to become increasingly familiar with the way your crossbow shoots and how your arrows are behaving in flight. You should also test your broadheads to get a feel for any differences they might cause in the way your arrows fly down range. This is critically important for both fixed blade and expandable broadhead users, so don’t skimp on this step.
