PositionSenior Design Engineer

Department: Engineering

Job Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to lead engineering projects related to the design, manufacture, and improvement of crossbow components and related consumer goods by applying fundamental and advanced mechanical engineering theories and principles.

Essential Duties:
  • Develop and apply rigorous Mechanical Engineering and Physics to the design and performance of new and existing crossbow designs; specifically, to the design and performance of limbs, cams, risers, string and cables and other functional components.
  • Develop, apply and validate rigorous calculations for cams design, limb design and other front end components of a crossbow. Utilize SolidWorks Simulation, Mold Flow and other SolidWorks add-ins.
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles to lead projects for designing, prototyping, testing, pre-production, production tooling, product implementation, and quality control phases of a specific part or product design cycle.
  • Design crossbows and crossbow related components using SolidWorks.
  • Drive analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop the design of components and assemblies and associated assembly equipment and machines, for crossbows and crossbow related components. This includes advanced component and assembly Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and advanced mold flow with minimal guidance from the Director of Engineering.
  • Analyze analytical data, test data, engineering proposals, and related technical documentation to make recommendations to management on the feasibility of a component design or assembly performance.
  • Contribute to departmental projects, including: Develop engineering drawings, specifications, quality control procedures and other detailed documentation for all assigned projects; Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented and completed appropriately; Work in a team environment to clarify or resolve any design problem.
  • Follow test procedures and assist with the destructive and non-destructive testing of new and existing parts and assemblies using a variety of methods.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining dimensional analysis documentation for each part using Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD& T).  Perform stack-up dimensional analysis on new and existing assemblies.
  • Perform production part, drawing and assembly revisions using the documented ECN process. Play a key role in the data management process including higher level Enterprise Document Management system functions (SolidWorks).
  • Assist the Engineering Department and Quality Inspection Department with the measurement and validation of incoming parts and assemblies as required.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline required.
  • Thorough knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks Enterprise Production Document Management (EPDM) system required.
  • Certified SolidWorks Expert CSWE preferred.
  • Certified SolidWorks Simulation Professional (CSWP-S) preferred.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Five (5) or more years related experience in a similar engineering setting required.
  • Thorough understanding of crossbow or archery mechanics required. Familiarity with the shooting sports industry strongly required. Thorough understanding of mechanics and machine design required.
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
  • A clear understanding of TenPoint-like manufacturing processes and materials is preferred.
  • Computer skills: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook required.
  • Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks surfacing, mold tools, simulation, and other add-ins required.
  • Advanced knowledge of machining practices, injection molding equipment, product design, dimensioning, tolerancing, and inspection tools preferred.

  • Assist customers and dealers with product and service questions, sales requests, return requests, technical support, and resolution of conflicts or customer dissatisfaction with services and products.

PositionAccounting Intern

Job Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist both the Accounts Receivable Specialist and the Accounts Payable Specialist with a variety of responsibilities from both.  

Essential Duties:
  • Handle all incoming mail to the accounting department and distribute accordingly
  • Enter approved credit memos as needed
  • Enter completed EDI invoices as needed
  • Maintain customer correspondence folders
  • File daily AR invoices and retail orders
  • File daily AP invoices
  • Assist Accounts Receivable in matching invoices to internal packing documents
  • Assist Accounts Payable in matching invoices to packing slips for payment process
  • Prepare customer invoices for mailing
  • Perform other related analytical assignments as required by Accounts Receivable Specialist, Accounts Payable Specialist, and Controller
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Requires pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Accounting experience preferred but not necessary
