PositionHuman Resources Administrative Assistant

Department: Human Resources

Job Purpose: The primary purposes of this position are to assist with the administrative and tactical functions of the Human Resources Department, and to serve as a consistent first point of contact for walk-in employees with inquiries and issues.


Essential Duties:
  • Assist with the administrative requirements for the Company's health and wellness programs, through duties including but not limited to: Enroll new hires and process related changes through the employment life cycle; Distribute required notices to employees; Educate employees regarding options and coverage available through these programs; Notify terminated employees regarding plan options following end of employment with the Company.
  • Conduct intake of employee issues, accident reports, and inquiries presented to the Department, and in the absence of the HR Manager. Gather preliminary information and determine escalation needs.
  • Assist with administrative aspects of worker’s compensation including accident reporting, claims and accident report filing, and return-to-work authorizations.
  • Assist with the recruitment function, including: Place ads to job boards; Screen applications and resumes; Schedule interviews for managers and HR Manager; Conduct preliminary phone interviews for appropriate positions; Issue correspondence to applicants following interviews.
  • Assist with the Company's new hire orientation process and maintain related paperwork, including:
  • Assemble new employee packets; Conduct new hire orientation and benefits overview; Ensure return of complete new hire paperwork; Create new employee personnel files and maintain files throughout employment life cycle.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Company's HRIS, including entry of new hires, changes, benefits, and creation of reports.
  • Communicate with employees and managers regarding accurate time clock procedures.
  • Assist with departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Organize and maintain benefit plan records and personnel files.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Associates degree in business or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years administrative experience.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

PositionAccounts Receivable Specialist

Department: Accounting

Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the position is to perform duties in support of the Company’s Accounts Receivable and Internet order functions.  The accepted candidate will have a direct path to a Staff Accountant position.

Essential Duties:
  • Create, post, and mail or email invoices daily to customers.
  • Create and post daily cash receipts for checks, credit cards, and ACH deposits.
  • Provide support to dealers, including: Accept phone payments, provide invoice copies, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Contacting Standard Dealers for collection of past due accounts.
  • Balancing Big Box accounts.
  • Process credit applications and assist Controller in determining credit limits and terms.
  • Assist Controller in monitoring customer balances in conjunction with credit limits. Work with Controller on those accounts over their limits.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and sales invoiced.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Retail division.
  • Ability to perform analysis of sales, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Ability to reconcile Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounts during month end close.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all data within all duties.
  • Ability to understand the use and need of accrual entries and recurring entries.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Education/Certification Requirements:
  • The candidate will need a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is needed for advancement.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • The candidate must have a minimum 3 years in an Accounts Receivable position or at least one year as a Staff Accountant.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience in Epicor or with an ERP system is a plus but not required.
