Black ACUdraw Replacement Covers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ACUdraw Covers I must say, I believe TenPoint Crossbows to be the Cadillac of Crossbows however, I find fault in these ACUdraw covers and the design. I have replaced 2 sets and now am in need of a 3rd. The right hand side is weakly made because the crank hole and the hold down screw placement being so close. This cover cracks open and I believe due to the fact that an underside standoff would more support; drilled out to allow the screw to enter thru and support the inner surface when tightened down, as an inner support should be added. This would allow the cover to be tightened without worry of over tightening and supporting the cover firmly. Raymond

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Well but Lacking Screw Stops I ordered a camo set to replace the original black covers that came with my Turbo XLT. Both sets have one big flaw - no screw stops. The screws cannot be tightened very much because they just keep going and press the tops of the covers in. A set of stand-offs from the hardware store solved the issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ACUdraw Cover Screw Holes Although the ACUdraw system works much better than other systems I have used on crossbows I am disappointed in the plastic cover on the right side of my system. Both screw holes broke open in the cover so that the screws no longer can hold the right side of the cover in place. I believe a heavier plastic might solve the issue but for now I plan to use washers with my new replacement cover.

I posted an earlier question about these covers and have seen many Customers have complained about the covers cracking. Seems to me that this issue should be addressed as $30 for 2 thin pieces of plastic is a lot.

Asked by: Peterk
Typically the only reason the covers cracked is if they get over tightened.

Do you guys have upgraded covers? I'm on the second set now and need a 3rd. They keep cracking by the screws. Dealer installed both times.

I truly think you need to re-engineer these covers. You mentioned they are a durable polymer, seem everyone I spoke with has this issue. Maybe standoffs would help? I haven't tested this plastic, but I think an ABS would better suit this need. Maybe a mixture with a little more butadine will give it the strength and flexibility it will need to withstand the vibration with out cracking. Just a thought from a process engineer in injection molding.

When will there be ACUdraw camo covers available. And has the problem of the acudraw covers cracking around the screw heads been solved?. Can some one help

Asked by: Peanut1
We do not have camo covers for the Acudraw. The covers are barely visible when the bow is at the resting position and when you shoulder it, it is hidden between your arm and your body, so it is not visible at all then. The covers typically do not crack unless the screw gets over tightened.

Can these be purchased in a camo vs. black?

Asked by: chevy2runner
We only stock them in black now. We have gone away from the camo covers.
