| I am currently looking for a new xbow and have yet to make up my mind about which one. The HLX is a bit on the heavy side for me other than that it's a nice bow. The ProSlider is a possiblility but I want to check out the TL-9 first if I can find one.
I was in Gander the other day and they had a TL-7 which felt pretty good to me. Seemed pretty well balanced and looked pretty good. My question is this: How much does the TL-9 weigh, I know the TL-7 is about 7.2 lbs? Other than the string and cable change on the TL-9 is it exacly the same as the TL-7?
Has anyone out there shot the TL-9? If so, how did you like it?
Thanks for any info on this bow.

The TL-9 will weigh the same, but it will have better string and cables as well as the PowerTouch trigger. Performance is basically the same.
Finding TL-9s will be hit and miss. It was a special make up for certain dealers and most brought them in early. Give us a call and we help you find a dealer the carried them. |

| Thanks Randy. I was at Dick's today and was able to compare the TL-7 with the HLX and to tell you the truth about it I'm reconsidering the HLX even if it is a little heavier. Seem's like it has a little shorter barrel and power stroke. I still may be calling to locate a TL-9 locally. I know where there is one in Texas but I can't buy one without physically handling one. Thanks again.

Location: NC / VA | I have handled and shot a HLX and if I were in the market for a mid-level xbow that is the one I would buy.
It's not a Phantom CLS but as my wife pointed out to me, I could have bought three HLX for what I have in my Phantom. Actually she said I should have bought a HLX (Profusion back then) and given her the difference. (Women just don't understand) |

Weight is light and a great shooter..

| Well I finally went with the TL-9. Great bow. It's a little lighter than the HLX which is a bonus for me. I know the Defender is a great bow also but way too much money for me. I took the TL-9 out over the weekend to line up the red dot and found that it was dead on at 20 yards. After quite a bit of shooting it, anything out to 35 or 40 yards is in a lot of trouble. The trigger is really good and I did not expect one so smooth on a crossbow but it's really good. At the shot the bow sounded kind of loud to me so I had my son shoot it while I stood off to the side and about 10 yards in front. When he shot it I could only hear the slight tink sound of the arrow retainer and a swoosh sound. From a deer's perspective it's not loud at all. I am really happy with this bow. I have not used a chrony yet to check the fps but it's plenty fast enough for my type of hunting. Thanks TenPoint........ |
