Location: Suffield, OH | Keep in mind you should change your strings, cables and Acudraw cord every 3-4 years. This is a great time to do it and save a little money as well.

Location: Alberta,Canada. | Hi Randy. Another Canadian question, can you receive and ship back crossbows originating in Canada? Also,I am guessing that I will be paying shipping both ways? Oh and one more, does the PSE Maxim (titan) qualify for these deals? |

We try to have repairs done in Canada for our Canadian customers. We have a couple of people we rely on - one in Ontario and one in Quebec. Both gentlemen do warranty repair work for us, but non-warranty work will be charged at their shop rates.
As far as the earlybird special pricing, that cost is if the bow comes back here to the factory. Shipping crossbows into/out of the country is very touchy, especially with a scope on the crossbow. My recommendation is to deal with one of our Canadian contacts.

As for the Maxim, yes, in the US it would qualify for the Titan early bird because it runs off the same string and cable system. The only real difference between that bow and the old Titan is the camo.
The two Canadian repair guys have gone through some pretty extensive training with us, so they can handle most any problem.

Location: Alberta,Canada. | Thanks Randy and Barb. Maybe one day Alberta will allow crossbows into the archery season and and have enough demand to justify a repair shop in western Canada. Thanks for the info! |

| I bought my Stealth X-2 four years ago and it shoots absolutly perfect. I love the accuracy! My biggest problem is ruining bolts when I practice because I keep splitting them. If I send the bow in for a tune-up and replace the strings and cables will it shoot differently than it is currently set-up for??? |

About the only change you might have to make would be on elevation. You'd be right back in where you're supposed to be weight-wise. 4 year old string & cables will loose speed & poundage so you will probably hit a little high with new ones - as long as they're put on correctly.

Location: T.O. Canada | Barb, I purchased a "new in the box" QX-4 Elite back in January of this year (2007). Currently, I have only taken less than 50 shots. However, since this particular model was last manufactured in 2005, should the string and cables be considered to be two years old and due to be changed next year. Also, I've noticed, that although I've taken less than 50 shots with it, that both end servings of the cables, where they wrap around the cams, are separating, with one strand loose and unravelled. Is this a safety issue and should I be concerned, and therefore should the cables be replaced? |

The string & cables, agewise should be fine for at least another year or two unless you are loosing speed.
The cable serving fray/separation should be watched. If you can tie off the strand that would be best but if it keeps going, I'd suggest changing the cables. |
