The RollerTouch Trigger is specifically designed to lower the weight of the trigger pull primarily on TenPoint’s 175-pound crossbow models. This new trigger technology features a double-roller system installed at the top of the trigger finger. As you pull the trigger, it rolls off the string latch’s sear surface rather than sliding off of it. The net effect is to reduce the friction between the two parts, thereby significantly lightening the trigger pull into the 5-pound range.
DROPLATCH™ TRIGGER
The success realized by introducing MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technology to the production of several PowerTouch™ trigger parts two years ago, has led TenPoint to use MIM technology to re-engineer the Titan TL-4’s crossbow trigger this year.
First, TenPoint redesigned the top of the trigger finger by adding a radius where it meets the sear surface of the string latch. That radius, combined with the ultra smooth surface finish that MIM technology offers (up to 10-times smoother than investment casting), dramatically improved the trigger pull over the previous design.
In addition, MIM technology provided the ability to both round and groove the trigger’s finger-pad, thereby improving both its aesthetics and its comfort.
